Scripture Union is in more than 150 countries around the world. In Zambia, Scripture Union was founded in 1963 under the pioneering work of Mr. Rodgers Pierce. It has since been given the legislative status by the Republic of Zambia to operate in both Primary and Secondary Schools. It is registered as required by the Society act and the registration number is ORS /102/26/122.

“To actively and effectively contribute to nurturing Children, Youth and Adults; Strengthening the Spiritual and Moral fibre of families holistically in transforming Zambia, through Discipleship, Evangelism, Literature distribution, Capacity Building and promotion of Bible reading and Prayer that they may come to personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ”.

Purpose Of Scripture Union

1. To make God’s Good News known to children, young people and families.
2. To encourage people of all ages to meet God daily through the Bible and Prayer so that , they may come to personal faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, grow in Christian Maturity and become committed church members and servants of a world in need.
3. To help children and young people choose for themselves life values that would help them avoid risk behaviours during their developmental stages.
